The Linking Network is looking for a Secondary Advisor to join the team on a fixed-term contract starting January 2017.
The role is part-time (0.6) and the salary range is £32,000 – £37,871 per annum (pro rata).

British values and universal values Primary lesson pack

This pack provides lesson resources across the Primary age range to support children to develop age appropriate, meaningful understanding of the themes of democracy, individual liberty, rule of law and mutual respect. All the lessons have been written by The Linking Network Advisors and a group of experienced Primary teachers.
The pack provides 43 lesson plans and accompanying teaching PowerPoints, offering progression from Early Years to Year 6.
The pack will be available on the website at a cost of £25.00.

 

Schools Linking supports schools and communities to develop a positive, cohesive ethos by helping children and young people and adults to explore their identity, celebrate diversity, champion equality and develop dialogue.

We seek to link schools and communities together, and support work SLN linking visiton SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social & Cultural) development that can form a lever for positive whole school change. This includes exploration of British values. Our learning, from the Bradford local school linking programme, from partners we work with around the country and our direct work with schools, informs our training.

We believe this work has never been more needed and makes an important difference in the lives of children and young people and can make a significant contribution to community cohesion. The team establishing this charity has a voice that is valued in schools and recognised nationally.

We can support you with:

  • Training for leadership of SMSC, British values, equalities and ethos.
  • Reviews and bespoke support for school ethos and culture, equalities SMSC and British Values.
  • Tried and tested classroom resources connected to equalities, diversity, sense of belonging, identity.
  • Staff training in your school connected to ethos and SMSC, British Values, relationships, cohesion, equalities.

You can access our training on days we arrange or you can contact us to arrange training in your school or organisation.

We are rooted in Bradford where we deliver the Bradford Primary School Linking programme, are commissioned to support Bradford Secondary Schools on their development of SMSC and school ethos and are developing an SMSC resource network for teachers. We deliver training for School Linking and SMSC in other Local Authority areas and support the delivery of partners across the country. We host a website to share learning and resources. All our delivery feeds into the continuous development of our programmes and our learning.
